HETTSTEDT LIONS SEEK FURTHER TWINNING WITH PWANI LIONS TO ASSIST THE BLIND

Lions Club of Dar es Salaam Pwani had Fellowship dinner with Lions Club of Hettstedt, Germany on the 3rd of November 2014 at Alcove Restaurant.

Lion Sebastian Bartsch, Secretary of the Lions of Club of Hettstedt donated 20 white cane Sticks for the Blind and 300 pairs of reading glasses. The total cost of the items was noted at TShs 3,500,000.00

The Convenor, Lion Rizwan expressed his clubs appreciation as he introduced the members and advised on the need to work jointly on many projects in the country.

Lions club of Dar es Salaam Pwani appreciated the generous support and is looking forward to provide help to those in need of these valuable items through a Twinning Activity that has been planned for December this year.

The Club from Germany was represented by 6 Lion members and 2 Guests while there were 9 Pwani Lions who attended the fellowship. "This being our 4th joint activity in Tanzania, I am proud to note that our relationship has increased from emails friendship to joining hands in service," said Lion Sebastian.  He also mentioned that their Club was looking for a long term assistance to a Kindergarten in Iringa and would like to be associated with Pwani Club.

"I have works of commendation for Hettstedt to chose to work with Pwani Club, and with all sincerity we will carry out robust activities that will target the vulnerable in the country," said President Lion Collin.
