Capacity Building is always helpful and assists in developing the competences of leaders and members today and tomorrow. Multiple District 411 ran a Regional Lions Leadership Institute in Kampala, Uganda sharing with Lions Club Members skills for better management of Lions Clubs and their activities.
The Institute hosted for the first time in Uganda attracted 60 Lion members.
The Regional Lions Leadership Institute took place in Kampala beginning 14-16 November, 2014. The closing ceremony was conducted by the Multiple Council Chairperson of District 411.
The Institute was facilitated by able members of the faculty who used their experience and expertise to help improve the knowledge and capacities of the participants. Experiences, challenges and aspirations of clubs were shared in group work discussions and role plays.
The Multiple Council Chairperson encouraged the participants to share the knowledge acquired with other Lion members. The MCC called for team work innovation and creativity in the leadership of Lions Clubs. He urged for prosperity in Lionism and the general good lives of all Lion members.
Lions Club of Kumi Central was fortunate to have 3 participants attending the Institute.
Kumi Central is thankful for the opportunity and will no doubt utilize the knowledge acquired to foster sustainable leadership in the club.
