On 04th November, 2014, the club organized its 1st Peace Poster Contest at Shree Hindu Mandal Primary School. Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This art contest for kids encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace. For more than 25 years, millions of children from nearly 100 countries have participated in the contest. The theme of the 2014-15 Peace Poster Contest is "Peace, Love and Understanding."
A total of 15 students participated in the Contest. The theme of the contest was brought out well in the posters. The club was supported by the Head Teacher Mrs. Nutan Mehta and Art Teacher Master Bharat. From a total of 15 entries, 3 participants were our own Leos of Leo Club of Dar es Salaam Pwani. The winners that were declared were 1st Prize – Leo Vivek Kalolia and 3rd Prize – Leo Dhrumit Mehta. It was a proud moment for the club to award its own Leos from the school.
The club not only sponsored and awarded the Leos at the event but also got 6 prospective Leo members who portrayed eagerness to join the Leo Club.
The activity was graced by the District Chairperson Lion Sara Qadri and Convenor Lion Natu Bhardwaj.
