AFRICA VACCINATION WEEK - KUMI CENTRAL CARRY OUT RADIO TALK SHOW TO SENSITISE PUBLIC

In line with the program to mobilize the communities to embrace vaccination, Kumi Central in liaison with the District Health Office and a representative of religious organizations held a talk show program this evening of 24th April, 2015 at Radio Continental in Kumi Town.
The theme of the talk was Vaccination  Gift of like.

 The District Director of Health Services Dr. Opolot John was  in the studio with Lion Dr Opio and the District Khadi Haruna Emuge.

The public followed the talk show asking questions about the reasons for vaccination, the history of vaccination in the world and the likely consequences of not vaccinating children. A question was asked about the age bracket for vaccination and if older people can get vaccinated too.

All the above were ably explained  by the panelists. The district Khadi gave the religious perspective to vaccination and the importance of children to the family and communities .
